About Us:

The International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science project is carried out within the International Research Agendas programme of the Foundation for Polish Science and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund. International Research Agendas programme involves the development of joint research units with a Polish institution and an international partner institution. The University of Gdańsk partner institution is The University of Edinburgh; established in 1583, and ranked as one of the top universities in the world with a special commitment to global interactions in science, engineering, informatics, and health care. The formation of a joint research unit between the University of Gdansk and the University of Edinburgh will bring expertise from both organization to ensure that PhD and MD training programmes and mentoring will be innovative and inter-disciplinary, global in vision to develop transferable skills required for the 21st century, and industrial collaborations will be drive translational clinical developments and commercialization.
