We are pleased to share that Dr Katarzyna Dziubek, our researcher, participated in the AACR Annual Meeting 2026, held in San Diego, California (USA) in April 2026. The annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research is one of the world’s leading scientific conferences in oncology, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and innovators to discuss the latest advances in basic, translational, and clinical cancer research.
This year’s programme focused on topics including cancer evolution, cellular plasticity, resistance to therapy, and emerging technologies that are expected to shape the future of cancer research.
Reflecting on the meeting, Dr Katarzyna Dziubek commented:
“The meeting was filled with outstanding presentations, inspiring discussions, and the opportunity to connect with passionate researchers from around the world. I returned with fresh ideas, new perspectives, and renewed motivation for future projects.”
One of the highlights of the conference was the opportunity to meet James Allison, the American immunologist whose discovery of the CTLA-4 immune checkpoint revolutionized cancer immunotherapy and was recognized with the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
Dr Katarzyna Dziubek’s participation in the AACR Annual Meeting 2026 was made possible through her PRELUDIUM grant funded by the National Science Centre (NCN).
We congratulate Dr Katarzyna Dziubek on representing ICCVS at one of the most important international meetings in cancer research and look forward to seeing how the knowledge and inspiration gained at AACR 2026 will contribute to future scientific projects.
