Advanced Spectral Flow Cytometry Training for our Researchers

On May 12, ICCVS hosted a specialized training session on the operation of the Sony ID700 Spectral Cell Analyzer, delivered by experts from Cyto-Logic.

The training program covered key aspects of advanced spectral flow cytometry, including spectral panel design and optimization, signal unmixing, quality control procedures, and system maintenance.

Designed as a hands-on workshop, the training was tailored to researchers and technical staff using spectral flow cytometry in their daily work. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their expertise in experimental design, improve data quality, and maximize the analytical capabilities of the Sony ID700 platform.

The event was organized as part of the DiaNA (NSCLC Diagnostics – Algorithm) project, which is being carried out at ICCVS. The project aims to develop and validate novel, widely accessible diagnostic methods for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including approaches based on blood sample analysis using flow cytometry. The project is funded by the Medical Research Agency within the framework of the competition for scientific entities to carry out applied research in the biomedical area (2024 ABM/03/KPO) within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component D Efficiency, Accessibility and Quality of the Health System, Investment D3.1.1 Comprehensive development of research in medical and health sciences.

Strengthening the competencies of research teams and advancing expertise in cutting-edge analytical technologies are important components of the DiaNA project and support the translational research activities conducted at ICCVS.

We would like to thank the Cyto-Logic experts for sharing their knowledge and experience, as well as all participants for their active engagement throughout the training. Initiatives such as this contribute to the continuous development of research capabilities and the effective use of advanced instrumentation in modern biomedical research.
