Did you know as a child that you would become a scientist?
This is one of the questions that Dr hab. Wojciech Siwek from our Centre will answer during Pomorska Noc Naukowców 2026.
On 25 September 2026, Wojciech will join the discussion “Moda na mobilność. Nauka bez granic” (“The Mobility Trend. Science Without Borders”) on the main stage of the Medical University of Gdańsk Sports Centre.
The meeting will focus on international mobility in science and what it can mean for researchers at different stages of their careers. Instead of focusing on formalities, the conversation will draw on personal experiences and practical examples. The final part of the meeting will be dedicated to questions from the audience.
The event is organised as part of Pomorska Noc Naukowców 2026, a celebration of science that brings researchers closer to children, young people and families through talks, workshops, demonstrations and interactive activities. This year’s programme also marks 30 years of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which have supported international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility in research across Europe.
Wojciech himself was awarded the MSCA grant IMMUNE-GENEMEMO under MSCA Global Fellowship programme, which enabled him to undertake a research fellowship and conduct his own research at Harvard University and at ICCVS during the return phase

Visitors to Pomorska Noc Naukowców are also invited to visit the ICCVS stand in the Science Zone, located at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG & MUG.
Our experts will be there to talk about cancer immunology, modern cell therapies and the research carried out at our Centre, including our flagship SWIFT (Science for Welfare, Innovations and Forceful Therapies) project, which focuses on developing personalised cell therapy for non-small cell lung cancer.
The SWIFT project is funded under the International Research Agendas Programme (IRAP) of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and financed by the European Funds for a Smart Economy 2021–2027 (FENG), Priority FENG.02 Innovation-friendly environment, Measure FENG.02.01 International Research Agendas.
