Dr Artur Piróg at Eurobiotech 2026

The project “NSCLC Diagnostics – Algorithm (DiaNA)” has been successfully completed, marking the end of an important stage of work on the development of a solution for lung cancer diagnostics.  

While the project has formally come to an end, the communication and dissemination activities are being continued. A recent example is the  participation of Dr Artur Piróg in EUROBIOTECH 2026 held on 2-3 July at EXPO Kraków. During the 10th edition of the Central European Congress of Life Sciences, Dr Piróg presented a poster entitled ‘Project DiaNA – discovery of peptide and ceLl-based biomarkers od non-small cel lung Cancer (NSCLC)’, sharing research related to the DiaNA project. 

EUROBIOTECH 2026 brought together researchers, biotechnology companies and organisations involved in the development and transfer of life science solutions. The programme included topics such as translational research, academia-industry collaboration and commercialisation of research results, providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge and establish new research connections. 

The project “NSCLC Diagnostics – Algorithm (DiaNA)”  has received funding from the Medical Research Agency within the framework of the competition for scientific entities to carry out applied research in the biomedical area within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component D Efficiency, Accessibility and Quality of the Health System, Investment D3.1.1 Comprehensive development of research in medical and health sciences.  

The funding enabled the DiaNA team to conduct research and further develop a solution with potential applications in lung cancer diagnostics. The completion of the project therefore represents an important milestone, but not the end of the work to bring the solution to the patient. Further activities will focus on exploring opportunities for collaboration and supporting the next stages of the solution’s development and its potential application in healthcare.
