Happy to be part of H2020 MINDtheGEPs

We are pleased to announce that the H2020 project Modifying Institutions by Developing the Gender Equality Plans (MINDtheGEPs) has received funding.  The actions will aim at promoting gender equality  in research and innovation. Multiple units from UG will jointly participate in the project under the leadership of prof. Ewa Łojkowska from IFB UG & MUG. The actions will also build upon the H2020 STARBIOS2 project results at UG (Structural Transformation to Attain Responsible Biosciences, 2016-2020), and create synergies with the currently conducted H2020 RESBIOS project (RESponsible research and innovation grounding practices in BIOSciences, 2020-2022). From ICCVS Izabela Raszczyk will be involved in MINDtheGEPs activities.

MINDtheGEPs will be conducted in collaboration with  Università degli Studi di Torino (Italy), National Research Council (Italy), Institute of Technology Tralee (Ireland), Jagiellonian University (Poland), School of Electrical Engineering-University of Belgrade (Serbia), Fundacion para la promocion de la Innovacion, Investigacion Y Desarrollo Tecnologico en la Industria de la Automocion de Galicia (Spain), Knowledge and Innovation (Italy), Uppsala University (Sweden), Elsevier (Netherlands). The project will be implemented within the Science with and for Society (SwafS) Programme within Horizon 2020. Project total funding amounts to approx. 3 million EUR with 200 000 EUR for the University of Gdańsk.

The project activities are in line with ICCVS ambition to follow best practice examples in research organisation from the strategic partner unit, The University of Edinburgh.  The University of Edinburgh holds the ATHENA Swan Silver Award and is committed to recognise and celebrate good practices in higher education and research institutions towards the advancement of  gender equality: representation, progression and success for all.
