ICCVS team at BIO-Europe Spring 2026

The ICCVS team attended BIO-Europe Spring 2026, held in Lisbon from March 22–26, 2026. The event brought together over 3,300 representatives of the global life sciences sector, confirming its position as one of the most important spring partnering events in biotechnology.

During this year’s edition, our ICCVS team: prof. Natalia Marek-Trzonkowska, dr Sachin Kote, dr Artur Piróg, dr Katarzyna Dziubek, dr Ines Papak and Anna Mazanek took part in numerous meetings, networking sessions, company presentations, startup pitching sessions and competitions, as well as expert lectures. The event provided an opportunity to present the Centre’s research activities and engage in discussions with potential partners from academia, industry and supporting institutions.

The main objective of the visit was to present the CANVAS and DIANA projects developed at the Centre. Both projects were showcased during one-on-one partnering meetings, via the partnering platform, and throughout networking sessions. The scientific scope and development directions of both initiatives were discussed in the context of their potential applications and future collaboration opportunities.

The programme of BIO-Europe Spring 2026, including thematic sessions and expert presentations, highlighted current trends in the life sciences sector, both in Europe and globally. For ICCVS, participation in the event was an important opportunity to confront ongoing research with international perspectives and gather feedback from a diverse group of stakeholders.

The Centre’s activities and research portfolio were met with strong interest from event participants. The discussions held during the conference provided valuable insights supporting the further development of ongoing projects and helped identify areas for potential cooperation.

ICCVS expects that the contacts established during BIO-Europe Spring 2026 will contribute to the development of new partnerships and collaborative initiatives in the future. Such initiatives would not be possible without the funding and projects supported by the following grants:

  • Enhancing Cancer Vaccine Science for New Therapy Pathways (CANVAS) project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 101079510.
  • NSCLC Diagnostics – Algorithm (DIANA) project is funded by the Medical Research Agency (2024/ABM/03/KPO) under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component D: Efficiency, Accessibility and Quality of the Health System, Investment D3.1.1.

We believe that the activities and initiatives we carry out, supported by these programmes and funding instruments, have the potential not only to improve cancer diagnostics and treatment in Poland, but also to contribute to advancements at the global level.
